Brass Acre Privacy Notice

Version 1.1. For visitors to brassacre.com. Agency records inside the Service are covered by the Master Subscription Agreement

Working draft, prepared for attorney review before launch.

This notice explains what Brass Acre collects from visitors to brassacre.com and how it is used. It is written to meet the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act. Records that agencies keep inside the Service belong to those agencies and are handled only on their instructions under the Master Subscription Agreement. Brass Acre never sells them.

1. What we collect

  • What you send us: name, agency, rank or role, work email, phone and state, when you request a walkthrough or a quote or contact us.
  • Quote details: Station count and the products you pick. This describes your agency, not you.
  • Technical details: IP address, browser, pages visited and the page that sent you, from server logs and privacy respecting analytics.
  • Cookies: a cookie the Site needs to work, and one analytics cookie. The Site works with analytics declined.

2. How we use it

  • To answer you, prepare quotes and set up walkthroughs.
  • To run, secure and improve the Site.
  • To send product availability news you asked for. Every email has a working unsubscribe link, honored within ten (10) days.

3. What we do not do

  • We do not sell or share personal information for cross context behavioral advertising, and have not in the last twelve (12) months.
  • We do not run advertising or third party tracking pixels on the Site.
  • We do not use information sent through the Site to train artificial intelligence models.

4. Who we share it with

Only service providers under contract that help us run the Site (hosting, email, electronic signature and payment processing), our professional advisors, and anyone the law requires. The current list is at brassacre.com/legal/subprocessors.

5. How long we keep it

Contact and quote records are kept while we have an active relationship with you or your agency and for up to three (3) years after the last contact, then deleted. Server logs are deleted within twelve (12) months.

6. Your rights

California residents may ask to know, correct or delete their personal information, and will not be treated differently for asking. Send requests to privacy@brassacre.com. We will confirm who you are and answer within forty-five (45) days. Residents of other states with privacy laws have the rights those laws give, through the same address.

7. Security and children

Site information is encrypted in transit and access is limited to the people who need it. The Site is meant for public safety professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under sixteen (16).

8. Changes and contact

If this notice changes in a material way, the new version will be posted here with a new date. Questions: privacy@brassacre.com, (866) 342 7277, or Brass Acre, Temecula, California.
